I ended on the couch with my dog and watched ELF with Will Ferrell. It is so good. I think tonight I might do Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase- can't go wrong there! Anyway I am feeling a bit better today, still really crappy but not totally laid out like a couple of days ago. I hope I can have my energy up enough to be able to visit some family for Christmas. Thats my goal for this week, I just hope to be able to have a somewhat "normal" christmas.
Best wishes everybody for a happy holiday season!
Chistmas is an especially hard time with all the "events" - I've already missed three so I know what you mean. I hope you feel well enough to spend some time with the fam.
ReplyDeleteI understand exactly how you feel. I have been napping during the day to keep my strength up. I hope you can gain some strength so you can spend time with your family.
ReplyDeleteSoft Hugs:)
I hope you are able to see your family and have a wonderful Christmas.
ReplyDeleteP.S. We've been on an Elf binge lately. That movie, along with Monty Python & the Holy Grail, has a goldmine of great quotes - plus it makes you feel good! :)
Take care.
G'day James,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are having a rotten time :(
I can totally relate, I am pretty much house bound too. I have not seen most of my friends for well over a year. I live alone so unfortunatly my new friends are people like Dr Phil hahaha, sad but true!
I have also been trying to get on social security benefits. I'm in Australia but obviously it's just as difficult no matter where you live! I haven't been able to work since November last year and my money is just about to run out .... aaahhhhh!!! Oh well, it's only money, and a roof over your head, and food etc LOL
Hey, I also used to race motorcross when I was young and healthy. Those days of freedom are long gone!!
Take care matey, would love to hear how u are getting on? Oh and drop into my blog -

Cheers!
As a 31 year old fella who was healthy and active until being very recently diagnosed with ME/CFS, the summary of your situation on the profile section of this blog has struck a chord with me. Quite frankly, the downhill spiral that is probably on the horizon scares the shit out of me.
ReplyDeleteHi James,
ReplyDeleteJust came across your blog today. I also suffer with ME/CFS and live in Oakland, CA. Thankfully, my situation has approved after some treatment with Dr. Kaufman in the past 4 years, and I'm a "mild" case. Where do you live in CA?
